The staff at Mountain Horse Adventures holds the highest standards of care for our four legged friends. All of our horses are loyal and experienced trail horses who have been treating guests to mountain adventures for several seasons.

Family and friends are the working staff at Mountain Horse Adventures.

Matt- owner and Licensed Outfitter
Chrissy-staff veterinarian, Guide and wife of Matt.
Dave- licensed Guide, comic relief, and Matt's father.
Susanne- is also on board, a very experienced, licensed guide and horse woman.
Matt and Chrissy’s son, Avery is the official saddle tester and carrot giver.

Ahab, who started this fool idea of having the horses work too.
So far,Jiggs has proved to be herd clown,	Coal, a quarter/ arabian, smooth gaited and very responsive
Kidd is a return favorite, because he is so good to the kids.	This is Smokey, large, strong and very gentle
Moon, (the paint) and Iko (the big grey) both joined the herd in spring 2008.	Selle is a dapple gray arab and often "ladies choice"

Elephants??

All horse people start from different backgrounds; cowboys,/cowgirls, ranchers, equestrian riders of all types, 4-H, but what about this guy? Yep, Matt got his start with elephants. For 14 years this guy was an elephant trainer working in zoo’s around the country before moving to North Idaho. Have an elephant question?, he’s your guy.
